Passion sure pays if you persist at something. This was too cool of a finish to an ultimate challenge. This project was inspired by one of our cool glass techniques called chiseled glass, it is a unique custom bar water feature. This unique perspective was impressive enough for Ocean Home Magazine to feature, and we all agree. The details are many so call for full details.
Organic Carved Glass - This arched top panel is (47” x 101”) It is carved and shaded from both sides giving it it’s layered dimensionality, it also has jeweled glass overlays on both sides adding quite a bit of 3-D interest. This fairly simple organic design, looks easy… there was a great deal of time studying this piece before arriving to the exact design details.
Sculptural Mirror Wall- this collaborative work of art was done with Garcia Stromberg of West Palm Beach. Their stellar renovation of Boca Raton’s exclusive country club spa is to be believed. This feature is a 10 foot wide by 10 1/2 foot tall creative mirrored wall art installation. The concept is there’s initially but the details to pull this particular piece together was all us. There are more than 50 separate mirrored pieces seen each with a bit different edge work, from big bevels to small bevels and many hand chamfered and chiseled glass pieces in between.
Creative Glass Bar Top - This is a cool concept for a bar top or counter top. Simple design yes, that is why it is so cool. It has our unique twist, extreme difficulty!!! There is only one way to get this design, apply the water drop technique, then perfectly cover it to blast the background. This means each water drop no matter how big or how small, it had to be cut with an x-acto knife with perfect registration. This was near to impossible.
Photo Credit - Priority One... Nick Sargent with Sargent Photography www.sargentphoto.com captured this image, dynamic like no other... Stunning Photo, all may agree!!! Illuminated Custom Bar Water Feature. There are many creative minds that all came together on this project, it all started with the creative vision of Delray Beach's prominent landscape architect Krent Wieland from KWD Design. Details upon request.
Traditional Styled Stained Glass Dome - This dome is made from hand blown colored sheet glass. There are well over 2000 hand cut pieces to this ceiling and they are all joined together by real traditional lead came channel and their techniques. This traditional form of glass art is our passion, it is what and how we create, and it will never be compromised.
Super-Carved Glass Panel - This dynamically carved glass panel was one of the deepest carved panels to date. This is a 3/4" plate glass slab 6 feet tall by 6 1/2 feet wide. A custom depth gauge was used to determine the depth of carving before reaching the other side. This is maxed out. The other feature to notice is all the contour, it was all done by hand with a standard sandblasting machine.
Finished Sculptural Wall - This unique custom divider wall is a one-of-a-kind masterpiece. It is just over 4000lbs of solid glass set into this wall opening. It is an original art creation of Chris', it is 9 independent solid columns of glass each with their own configuration and each nestled tightly together creating a dramatic 3-D wall.
Heavy 3-D Sculptural Glass Panel, this 300 pound 11-foot tall cool work of art is best seen and understood here on our work table. The main section is 3 large pieces of bonded 1/2" Low-Iron Safety glass with a carved embellished 4th layer, the raised square that matches the tile. The craziest and most impressive part of this piece is the heavy 3/4" long strips full bonded together to themselves and the main panel. Metal components of this work of art not shown.
Custom Glass Water Feature Fountain - Hot and Cold... Here is an interestingly different design of mine, I am a cold-form glass artist who felt the need to heat things up a bit. I designed this fountain concept which called for color. I intended to make these 3 vertical crystal glass boxes, I also intended to fill them with something colorful... what is more colorful that Chihuly-styled hot glass. He wasn’t available, my great friends at The Benzaiten Center for the Arts were. My friends David Peterson and Eli Cecil, these guys are magic with the heat and tools. Finished photos will follow soon.
Functional Wall Art Sculpture, this interesting and creative application of glass is inspired by collaborative efforts of our gifted designers, they see something cool of ours that strikes interest and they use it in their own creative way. Here it was set up as a sculptural wall treatment that doubles as a display case for glasses, purses and the collective perfume bottles.
Super-Custom Chiseled Glass Water Feature (night) Here is the night shot showing the creative glass lit up with RGB LED's. Looking west to the city from this penthouse unit. Water fills the upper trough, cascades out of the center into the glass channel down the length of the bar and off the end into the floor catch.
Glass Wave Sculpture - This cool layered glass sculpture plays on pattern and form. These are solid bonded glass form structures. This concept technique is unlimited in style and a focused directive in our future portfolio. The dynamics of formed glass sculpture gets even more interesting with finishing techniques and color.
Sculptured Mirrored Walls - A powerful element of this unique mirrored wall was the darker glass sections. They are custom made panels of mirror made dark with colored bonding adhesive and gold and silver leaf. Custom crystal glass shelves go over the dark areas. Call for finished images to be sent.
Custom Beveled Doors - This beautiful and elegant entry was revamped recently. The original entry had solid wood doors and only the decorative perimeter glass existing. We supplied our architect with new doors to suit his design along with full custom beveled and leaded glass to continue and complete the overall design.
Photo Engraving Revealed - The translucent print is being lifted to expose and show the magic of very intricate hand-cut and blasted details down to the strings of the guitar and their subtle shadows. Note the LED lights wrapping the edge of the glass which lights up the etched imagery. Exquisite detail.
New Contemporary Textured Glass Design - Unique and innovative cabinet door designs accentuating the element of 3-D dimension with glass. Hardly seen in this photo is the unique layering done with carved glass overlays, these overlays are carved and bonded to the front and back of these panels, they work in unison to achieve the intense dimensional effect of each design respectively.
Dynamic Photo Representation - This image is one of our custom marine art commissions of a main salon window package engraving. These complete package installations include removal of existing standard glass. They include an entirely new set of custom glass panels integrated with lighting and controls if desired. The engraved or artistic panel of safety glass is the illuminated exterior panel with a black glass interior panel to be tinted as desired.
These are a set of one of our contemporary custom doors. Unique and handmade as all our other works, this design technique utilizes first a custom fade etching, from there we integrated a series of linear carved and shaded lines from both surfaces of the glass. This is something appreciated only in person touching the design.
Traditional Techniques - We create glass in a manner consistent to the masters who came before us. Following, we raise the bar whenever possible. Traditional Stained Glass Painting shown is done on a not too traditional surface. The Acanthus leaves shown here are stained glass itself, just pre-contour carved to extreme limits first. The weakened state of the thin glass re-strengthens itself in the annealing process.
Filigree Carving - Deep carving beyond the surfaces. This is a whole new ball game. Breaking through the surfaces of glass in this way is incredibly risky. This is living on the edge for the creator, the fun, nail-biting and challenging part. A successful finished work of art of this caliber is fragile and collectible.
One of our innovative unique glass wall art designs and installations. SkyFall a 190′ Trinity motor yacht was the setting for this unique 3-D chiseled and painted glass combination. Light dances creatively through the dimensional chiseled Starphire sections as you move by this piece. There is great contrast between the elements here, hand-chiseled glass set as sculptural forms and the custom air brushed back painted glass fields. Call for more details.
Free-form Carved Glass Sculpture. This creative glass sculpture was a one-of-a-kind trophy given to the Best-Of- Category in a fishing tournament. It grabbed a good amount of attention in the lineup. 3-D effects with the sailfish were optimized by layering, and setting it upon the chiseled glass stack of interest was a perfect finish.
Stacked Chiseled Glass - This most unique creative technique used by us is a specialized technique we have mastered over the years. Anyone can stack and bond cut strips of glass together, the significance to the eye for us is how clean we can maintain the breaks from edge to edge. A few other significant details are the variety of breaks we can get and the narrowness of strip with each thickness.
Tropical Etched Design - The most common subject matter used in the business. To most, the details are irrelevant, to the one's with an eye for design, we are here. Our tropical engravings have life, movement and flow to their design. How we compose our design work on a door, window, shower or anything of need is significant and it is our most important element.
Details - The difference between the businesses and the difference between the creative artist interpreting it. Our passion may be unmatched in this business. The proof will be known from here in every finished work of art thay leaves this studio. Christopher Reisert - Artist / Visionary and owner of Reflective Collections, Inc.
Above and below the waterline, what a cool way to utilize space. This unique perspective is pretty dramatic and done to the highest level of our expertise. The anatomy of all of our fish will always be done to perfect standards. We take a great deal of time in studying our subject matter before our etching even starts, it pays off here.
Organic Tumbled Glass Rock... These rocks have been saw cut and bonded to base glass. This technique was used in a large glass water feature. Use your imagination, glass columns, table bases, thick-chunk room dividers it is all possible. Wait to see this in floor to ceiling illuminated support columns.
Artists Collide - More like Collaborate. I was given the unique opportunity to work with world-renowned marine Artist Carey Chen in interpreting his art for a client in a glass panel. He is glad we did, looks awesome. His drawing on left, my interpreted engraved glass panel on right with LED lights.
This is our signature chiseled low-iron glass backed in matching low-iron mirror. This is over-the-top in many respects, challenge, skill, drama and effect. We are designing this unique feature as a wall application, a 19-Foot wide wall 10-Feet tall and curved. If approved this will be the most spectacular wall treatment we have ever done of its kind. Photos to follow soon.
The Most Recent Edition Marine Commission. Full original art design which includes my client's 62' Ocean "Foolish Pleasure" You will need to meet him in Jersey to appreciate the details to this beauty. Outrigger lines, fighting fisherman and just for good measure a mini-version of this etched window created on the boat itself. This is the main salon window.
Wild carved glass study. This is more testing to what is possible. My rendition of illustrating space, stars and a major detail to a illuminated feature panel. This was so cool to create and one outrageous image to show. This is carved, layered and painted crystal clear glass edge lit with LED lighting.
The Luxurious St. Andrews Country Club Spa located in Boca Raton, Florida. It is an honor to have been selected to create a suitable creative wall sculpture in this exclusive lobby. This Spa is state-of-the-art everything. This Spa is to be believed and to be seen, you kind of melt into a state of relaxation the moment you walk into this front door. The best of the best in amenities await your arrival, all are sure to please.
Creative Glass Wall Sculpture. 63" x 84" x 3" This wall sculpture is back painted glass with the addition of silver and gold leaf gilding. It is bonded and fused strips of chiseled ultra-clear glass set in series in 7 independent sections undetectable when installed. Though vertically set, and not seen in this photo, the pieces wave in and out from the wall across the span creating the 3-D sculpture effect.
Bold, heavy and exquisite... This is about a 7 foot square piece of 3/4" plate glass or table glass hung on a wall. A client brought in an interesting and personal photo of their honeymoon destination with hopes of getting it carved in glass. It was a great opportunity to test my illustrative skills. The carved off top was easy, it was the scenery and depth of field that proved to be most challenging. Both turned out great, but the most interesting part for me was how I sculpted the foreground columns and rocks, they were front and back carved glass maximizing the 3-D effect
